Hello and welcome to the University of Kansas! My name is LaTisha Davis and I am an Associate Director in the TRIO Supportive Educational Services office. I also serve as Director of Child Care Access Means Parents in School (CCAMPIS), Coordinator of Opening Paths to Individual Opportunity (OPTIONS), co-advisor for the Black Student Union, and advisor for UNITY Hip Hop Dance Crew. Prior to working for TRIO SES & STEM, I served as an advisor in the Undergraduate Advising Center at KU.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wichita State University, which is located in my hometown of Wichita, KS, and a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Baker University. I’m currently a first year doctoral student in the Ed.D Higher Education Administration program.
Before coming to KU, I served as an Academic Advisor and Head Cheer/Dance Coach at Coffeyville Community College in Southeast Kansas. During my time there I advised and coached student-athletes, served on various committees, and was very active in the community. I have worked in the education field for over ten years and enjoy helping students reach their academic and professional goals.
In my free time I enjoy, cheering on my son at his many sporting events, spending time with family and friends, traveling, visiting museums and historical sites, volunteering in the community, collecting vinyl records, and listening to live music.
