Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

My name is Stacy and I have worked at the University of Kansas since 2002. I am the Director of the Heartland College Assistance Migrant Program, serve as an Adjunct Advisor with TRIO SES/STEM, and teach a section of UNIV 101 for CAMP and Hixson Scholars.

I am the perfect example of someone who has a) changed her major, and b) changed her career path more than once.  My undergraduate degree is in Music – Vocal Performance and my master’s degree is in Social Welfare (both from the University of Nevada, Reno – go WolfPack!!). Music is still an important part of my life, but my professional passion is providing educational opportunity and success for students from underrepresented backgrounds.

I am originally from the West Coast – born in California, raised in Nevada.  I love the mountains!!  Every summer my husband, kids, and I travel to get our “West Coast Fix” and visit our extended families.

Strengths:  Responsibility, Harmony, Relator, Learner, Developer
