Brian Moreno

Brian earned his B.A. in History from the University of Missouri in 2016 and his M.A. in History from the University of Kansas in 2018. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in KU’s History program, where his dissertation focuses on the exchange of religion and culture in early post-conquest Mexico. During his time in Lawrence, Brian has served as a teaching assistant and worked with a diverse group of students and history topics. His education and teaching experience has instilled in him a belief in the power of exploring perspectives and relating individual stories as they pertain to larger institutions. A former Pell Grant recipient and TRIO McNair Scholar, Brian understands the unique experiences that students from underserved communities have on the college campus and wants to employ perspective, empathy, and pragmatic advice as he helps them to navigate this chapter of their lives.
